Child Labour: A Way Out of Poverty?

This is the case for Suhail Singh as his recent blog post reveals that the act of child labour should be legalized in the case of personal family matters. However, what Singh fails to take into account is the harsh realities of children in a working labour force as the mental and physical challenges that they may encounter can lead to tragedy. Singh reveals in his blog post that children working in a struggling, family owned business should be legal as they can learn business experience at a young age that would prepare them for the future. This does not seem to be true however as the absence of school can actually lead to lower productivity in their future as they do not learn the necessary skills they would have if they were in school. good idea and executed well. You seem to have a lot of knowledge about the situation and found a good person to interview who also had a strong opinion on the topic. I also like that you contrasted it by showing a skate park that is newer and in better condition.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a good and unique idea to promote or bring light on. I do appreciate some of the movement for shots to include the skateboarders, however there was too much movement and actually became distracting. I would use more still frame shots, and also maybe prepare more formal stand-ups.
ReplyDeleteI think this was a really good idea. The editing is also well done. I do think you could have used more interviews and also avoid zooming in. I like that you included shots of people skateboarding and your standup explained everything properly.
